Let's add some tools to your tweens and teens self-care toolbox.
Anxiety in children is at a record level. Art journaling is a creative and expressive way to sort through your thoughts and feelings and a valuable tool for your self-care toolbox.
Every class we'll learn a fun new technique
Through creativity and sharing, tweens and teens will learn how art journaling can help them label and address their feelings. Art journals are a safe place to put your feelings where you can safely express yourself without the pressure of having to share until you are ready. This is a no-rules, can't do it wrong art class where all levels of art experience are welcome.
Perfectionism starts young and can have lasting effects
This class is a safe space to try, explore, allow, let down your guard, and learn to be gentle with yourself. One of the most helpful exercises we do at art journaling is write, and then cover up what we wrote so know one can ever read it if we don't want them to. This part alone is one of the biggest benefits of art journaling-giving people a safe place to write.
What tweens will get out of it:
- a fun way of expressing themselves
- find out that it's okay to have fun and make art
- an new tool for their mental health toolbox
- in this camp we are going to focus on expressing and creating
- these are no-mistake, can't do it wrong, forgive ourselves and love what we do classes

What others are saying
Art Journaling with Anna has changed my life! I love the process involved in creating each page. Transforming thoughts into Art and learning not to judge my work has brought me great joy! I've never been one to write in a journal...but THIS!! This is it for me! I am such a visual person so I get so excited at the idea of "making something".
