The Latest From The Studio

As I'm not on Social Media right now, I'm using this space to update what I'm working on, and what's happening in the different classes.

Mixed Media Art Journaling at Articulations

New 4 week mini session starting April 7-28, Tuesdays 1-3

details here
Artistic collage with text 'Sometimes Things Feel Pretty Precarious' and colorful abstract elements.

This week we have been journaling with maps. The results have been extraordinary, some mapping the past, some mapping the future, and some mapping imaginary places. In this piece, I added a map to a page I had previously done, and love the way the come together.

Sketchbook Challenge

March is Sketchbook Challenge month at Articulations. I've spent the month indulging in landscapes. My theme for the month was peace, and I think I did a wonderful job of peaceful pages. You can see all the sketchbooks on display at the shop soon.

What people are saying

I was the wannabe art kid who couldn’t art. Art-anxiety crept in and I just stopped doing paper art all together. My first few sessions with Anna, I wanted to do it “right". I was so nervous because I *knew* there must be a “right”, right?! But session after session Anna made me see that whatever I do at that moment *is* right.

Kristina

I just want to say I loved your Art Journal lessons.  They were so much fun learning all the new techniques to making our journals so personal and unique.  I always loved the playful side of art and was never that good at actually drawing, so being able to do a little bit of it all was so exciting and creative.

Sharon

Making art can feel intimidating and working with Anna feels the opposite of intimidating. I’m not an artist in the traditional sense, though I do consider myself creative because I like to make things and notice and create beauty.
