Backgrounds are the foundation of all art journal pages. In this workshop you will be exploring a variety of background techniques that will add richness, layers, and texture to your pages. 

Some of the backgrounds you will be learning

• adding texture with napkins and paper towels
  
• new and different painting techniques
  
• transparent acrylic wash
• splatter
• scraping
• tissue paper and more
  

Supply list:

• watercolour paper-5 or 6 pages any size
• gesso
• acrylic paints
• plastic fork, and knives
• your regular journaling supplies
• tissue paper
• decorative napkins
• paper towel
• matte or gloss gel medium
