Make time in your week for quilting

Start your week off with two hours of quilting time.

Join this group of creative and supportive women

  • We check in
  • Show where we are at, what we are working on
  • The group is here for you if you need any feedback
  • Sew, cut, press-I'm here for you if you get stuck, or have any questions
  • I check in with everyone once during the 2 hours
  • Finish up with a 'where'd you get too' show and tell-see you next week

Who is this class for?

This class is a quilt-a-long, which means you should have either basic sewing knowledge, or quilting knowledge. There will be a common project most of us will be working on, but you are welcome to work on something else, and everyone will be working at their own pace. I am there for advice and guidance, but this is not a lesson based class.

Who else is in the group?

This group is made up of an eclectic mix of creative women. Originally the group came  together from a Facebook post I made about quilting, but it has evolved into a supportive and fun group or really I should say community.

It's so easy for the days to get lost and you don't know how you didn't get anything done. This class is somewhere to show up every week, and see familiar faces, and have others celebrate your wins with you.

    Details

Monday mornings 9:30-11:45, for 13 weeks. We will start on September 13 and go through until December 13. There will be no session October 11 which is Canadian Thanksgiving.

I'm aiming for 10 participants plus myself, and the class will be hosted on Zoom. I will be sending out the pattern and instructions, when you register. And I think we will book a couple of fabric shopping excursions up to Len's Mill Store on Orfus, and maybe Sew Sister's or (and!) Fabric Spark on Danforth. Also, because the project is can be a scrap quilt, we could organize a fabric exchange if people wanted. (This is what I mean about the group being a community-get a bunch of fabric lovers together, and Instant Friends)

    Cost

The cost for the 13 weeks is $150. To register or if you have any questions, don't hesitate to send an email to artwithanna@outlook.com
